DELTA - Single worst airline for baggage
 

After losing my luggage TWICE I vowed that I would never again check a bag. Which meant numerous trips to Europe for 10-15 day trips with what I could fit in a carry on. This last trip I gave up and tried once more to check a bag. This time with 2 tags on it with name address and phone and a big piece of tape that had destination and "PLEASE DO NOT LOSE" in large black letters.
I landed three days ago and my luggage has still not arrived. It is a freakin joke and the stupid update app has nothing on it, the people you talk to don't know their as* from their elbow. Nobody has a clue of what is going on.
I am not sure if it is real or some kind of Candid Camera reenactment because this level of amazingly poor service is not believable.
My husband and I just signed up for the Delta Gold card and trust me it will be ripped up the second it comes in the mail.

Airline employees of old understood that their customers were travelling, away from home and out of their comfort zone. When things went wrong they tried to help the customer sort things out. Today, customers in distress are a revenue opportunity, no empathy and no support. Putting "DO NOT LOSE" on your bags probably encouraged one of the mean spirited ba*tards who Delta seem to specialise in employing to "accidently" misplace your bag. The only solution is to NEVER fly them again.
