Camera and lenses stolen from Gate checked bag
 

I flew from SFO to Tel Aviv on United.
I checked luggage at the gate at SFO.
When I arrived Tel Aviv a camera case, expensive camera, and several lenses were missing from the luggage. (Total value about $7000)
I wrote to United and they send me a "drop dead" form letter.

I have almost 2M lifetime miles with United. No so much as a phone call.

After all these years of flying United it is time to check out American.

Was on flight from Texas to Washington D.C., via Charlotte, Va. Got into DC about 5 EST. No bags. Eight people left without their luggage. U.S. Air staff at airport incredibly rude to everyone stranded without luggage. According to them, the passengers were at fault. They checked their baggage incorrectly. It was there but they could not find it. They went to the wrong carousel.

When it turned out their baggage had been left behind, they were still rude. They said it would be on the next flight. Delivered to homes of people by midnight. Never happened. Called and called. They said that that stuff was sent on a n even later flight, after midnight. Might be delivered in the middle of the night. Or the next morning. Or who knows when. Never use this airline!
