no miles received after using plusgrade
 
Last may I decided to use plusgrade so I could have some rest on the plane during my 13 houres trip and was glad when my offer was accepted for the second part of my trip so I could arrive a bit rested

Soon after the trip the activity showed up on my account but there where no miles assigned to this. I waited a few days then tried the missing miles but no response what so ever so i contacted the general guest service, after.

Finally on the 15th of may i received an email that they where looking into this but no further news, after one month I contacted them again to ask what was needed and the answer got to me 12 days later that it was well received but still no solution

What's the point paying more if you don't even get the normal miles you should have gotten if you didn't upgrade?

Yes you will earn Etihad Guest Miles for the upgrade. You will earn the base miles (as per the flown distance) plus a 10% additional bonus for the relevant cabin upgrade. The below illustration indicates the calculation of Etihad Guest Miles for an online upgrade.

Base Miles = 3409
Upgrade Bonus
Total
Upgrade from Coral Economy Class to Pearl Business Class

10% of Base Miles = 341
3750 Etihad Guest Miles
Upgrade from Pearl Business Class to Diamond First Class

60% of Base Miles = 2045
5454 Etihad Guest Miles




Gold Elite, Gold and Silver members will continue to earn the Tier Bonus which is always calculated on the base miles earned and hence the upgrade does not affect the number of miles awarded. Tier Miles & Segments will be earned as per the upgraded cabin

Hi, I have the same problem I recently took a trip to Manila, and got upgraded both ways by plusgrade, but after the flights no points were given, I have emailed etihad and had zero response.

In the email from plusgrade/etihad it says that you should get base points + 10%

"If your offer has been accepted, you will receive a confirmation mail no later than 24 hours prior to departure along with your new E-ticket to experience our finest cabin at a fantastic deal. For more details on the online upgrade, click here.
As an Etihad Guest member, you will earn the base miles (as per the flown distance) plus a 10% additional bonus for the relevant cabin upgrade. If you are not yet a member of our award-winning loyalty program Etihad Guest, click here to enroll to the program."

Really whats makes it worse is the lack of response from etihad I fly with them

flew LHR-AUH-BKK 9th-10th july. Upgraded to business (make us an offer, plusgrade) AUH-BKK sector. After checking transactions on the ff webpage, is shows class flowen X. and 0 miles. I have e-mailed Etihad twice now with no response. I just sent the Etihad representative an e-mail to see if he can help. I have just had another offer accepted for the return BKK-AUH sector on 31july. I still retain the boarding pass and if no response, i shall take the matter up in Abu Dhabi

ok, i got my miles now it took some time, but i got my points credited 2 days ago. I have another upgraded flight next week lets see if I have to go througth the same again. :)

Just had another flight with etihad and got upgraded using plugrade again, and what a suprise no points given again. will be email etihad again.

miles credited
 
Got my miles after complaining in abu dhabi . The staff at first had no idea what I was talking about at first (typical etihad) but after a couple of calls all was resolved

Missing miles
 
Having read the above posts I have checked my guest statement and realise that I also got 0 miles for return trip LHR to AUH which I upgraded via Plusgrade. Will email and hope they get added.

PM'd Cazzi and received a response saying that it was being looked into. Thanks Cazzi for that.
I also notice that my Tier miles are missing from both flights, both air and tier miles a big fat ZERO.
Wonder how many people check and if it is an inherrent problem they have with Plusgrade?

Will let you know if, and when, I get them credited to my account.
