Why do they find these people?

We flew from Toronto to Ottawa on Saturday August 4th on AC470 in Executive Class. We reserved the four seats in row 2. When we were boarding, we were told that they are no seats in row 1 on this flight so they scatter two of us to row 3 and 4. When we got on the plane, they were two seats in row 1, D & F. Guess what, those two seats were left empty for the flight. Don't they even know the plane layout? Also, if I have reserved those seats, why did they move us?

Also, this is the executive class and we paid over $800 per person, we were not even offered a drink when the plane was delayed for 30 minutes. We did not any drinks or food, not even peanuts, for the entire flight. But we can see the stewardess enjoying drinks in the front. They told us it is because of safety reason they cannot serve us. We had turbulance for about 3 minutes. This is the exactly what happened the last time we flew it.

We flew all the way from Jakarta and we always dread when we have to get on AC, may be AC should stand for Air Crap!:p

Not sure about the seat changes, but the flight is only s little over 200 miles so i'd bet there is no scheduled service on a flight that short.

Then why did the male steward came around and apologize to everybody saying that they have chickens prepared for us but unfortunately they cannot serve us. As the captain, shouldn't you know what is going on in your plane?

Trust me as a captain ,i do. However i have no idea about what was going on with the plane YOU were on. However looking at the length ofof the flight i highly doubt there was a meal scheduled, and if there was they may have expected turbulence worse than actually happened and the captain may have told the fa's not to do a service on the interest of their safety.
