United Economy to London nightmare

We paid top dollar for two Economy seats on recent flight from Chicago to London. The amount of space in those seats is shocking. We are not big people and it was impossible to cross legs, extend them at all. Removing a sweater meant elbowing the other person in the eye. I have flown all over the world and never had seats that small. If this was a cheap flight, I'd understand. But this was shameful. I think livestock gets more room on its ways to slaughter. Shame on you, United. I will never fly you again. Coming home on Air Canada was like night and day. Plenty of room in Economy.:(

Have you been on Spirit or RyanAir with pre-reclined seats and 28 inches of legroom? I just flew United FLL-CLE on the Boeing 737-900 and the 30 inches was comfortable the 2hour 30 minute flight
