Getting a receipt for a ticket

I'm having fun with US-Airways at present. Flew the family from the US to the UK for a holiday with buisiness for me during on part of the trip. Now I'm trying to get a receipt that itemizes the fares (printer not working at the airport). I've called United customer service three times now and they take the details and email address and promise that the receipt will be sent within a few hours. Well, some six days after the first call, no receipt. It seems they remove the details from the web two days after the flight and then there is a manual process to call them up and resend those details. If you wait 30 days, then they charge a $20 fee. While the customer service reps are friendly, the actual service they promise is non-existent. This was my first flight with US-Airways for a while. I travel a lot for work and if they can't get the simple stuff to work I'll avoid them less there be a case where more difficult problems occur. Nice flights, just a pain to get a receipt.

Regardless of which airline you flew, a ticket receipt can only be printed by the airline that issued the ticket. Was it a U S Airways ticket (starting with 037) or a United ticket (starting with 016)?

Typo in original post.

Nuts - typo in original posting, I'm a United Elite member. The ticket was on US-Airways as was the call to them - 037 ticket. Still not heard anything back from them.
