Why is BA cancelling so many LHR/JFK flights

I have noticed over the past two weeks that almost daily BA cancels at least ONE flight LHR/JFK and sometimes 3 or 4. Same with return flights. During the same period other airlines have not, ok...sometimes late because of the bad weather. But BA cancells even when the weather is acceptable

Your right that there has been quite a few flights due to weather. You do have to bear in mind that there has been bad weather in the states as well as the uk. Therefore if you consider that a jfk/lhr flight may be later used for alhr/jfk flt and that if the first flt is cancelled the aircraft usnt available for the other flt. Otherwise all i can suggest is that if its a lot worse than other airlines that possibly BA simply have less aircraft or are more cautious.
