Don't use ANA to ski in Japan-crazy charges
 

Just flew ANA (All Nippon Airways) Seattle-Tokyo (code shared as United). They charged $100 for a second bag (1st bag free), which was a ski bag, and on the return, they tried to charge me an additional $140 for it being oversized. $240 to take skis with you one way! Apparently they are not interested in getting any skier traffic on their airline.

You should fly Delta or American. I am sure that you will be very happy with their baggage fees.
