Refusal to change despite medical reason
My wife had surgery for a broken ankle and was unable to fly. The trip to Casablanca was to be our honeymoon. After trying over NINE times to contact customer service, we contacted the CEO's office requesting a change (NOT a refund) to her flight home (she's an expat teaching at an international school) so we wouldn't lose all the money. We simply wanted credit for her travel home.
Etihad refused and insists that she can only change the dates but the destination cannot. We were willing to pay change fees to just re-book, and Etihad still refused. We even sent them the medical information they requested. I contacted the CEO's office directly myself and still haven't received a response. I've flown almost every major airline in the world. Etihad's customer service is worse than the worst service I've ever had. |
