DON'T FLY QATAR - I flew from Birmingham to Johannesburg, having to connect at Doha where I missed my connecting flight, my fault. I expected to pay a penalty but was instead charged for the entire ticket even the return journey on which I had not yet embarked. I was told this is a No-Show policy - where does it state this I wonder, not on my ticket or any communiques from Qatar. To add injury to insult they would not release my baggage so I could get another airline which involved less waiting time. They wanted £500 to release my baggage!! So I had to wait 16 hours for the next flight, having paid twice for the same ticket.
