ticket not honored
bad weather in Altanta caused a delay on connector flight to Augusta,GA. when I checked with Dealta and found this out, I went several hrs. early to Boston Airport to get on standby and try to get to atlanta quicker and either catch a earlier flight or rent a car for a three hr. dr. After several delays I got fight out of Boston. No big deal Dealta can't control weather. Before I left I ask for and recieved a boarding pass for next conection to Augusta. Another 2 hr. delay when I arrived in Atlanta @ 10 pm. still no problem 2 hr wait 30 min flight. I had a ticket no need to find a car. when the flight finally boarded ( midnight) I was not allow on the flight. the computer said I was on standby and didn't have a ticket (even though I had one in my hand) Of cource by the time I got to the service desk ( 1am) no hotel rooms no rental cars. All people with delta admit it was Delta's fault. After spending the night in the airport Dealta offered me a $100. voucher ( that's it) as compensation for Dealta not honoring the contract ( the ticket) we had. Any Idea's on how to get delta to offer a fair payback?

You can try to call their customer service line, and see if they will offer you something more, or a partial refund. Keep in mind that no airline is going to offer a voucher, in most cases, that exceeds the cost of your ticket. If you bought a $150 ticket, for example, they aren't going to give you a $300 voucher. I don't know what you spent on your ticket, but just keep that in mind.
I would call the customer care line, politely explain what happened, and ask if they will give at least a partial refund to your ticket, or offer another voucher. |
using the phone # for delta on this site, Delta came back with a voucher for $400.00 to go with the voucher for $100.00 giving the day of the problem. That worked for me and I will fly Delta again.

Glad to see you got what you wanted. Hopefully next time, you'll have a better experience on Delta.
