Emergency Exit Door

I flew with Us Airways for the first time a week ago and had one bad experience after another. My flight to Las vegas was approximately 2 hours. Fifteen minutes into the flight a loud wistling starts coming from the exit door which is 3 rows done from me. The noise was as annoying as a train whistle. A lady next to me asks whats going on and is told by the flight attendent that it is coming from the emergency door. She goes on to say that maintence has checked on it and they don't know whats wrong with it and proceeds to say that it turns off after 15 minutes. Well 15 minutes before the plane gets to Vegas it finally stops. Wow could you at least offer some earplugs or some aspirin for my headache?
