Continental Airlines LET ME DOWN AGAIN
I have just about had it with Continental Airlines. I was at the airport
today thinking I was going to be in London tomorrow...Wrong! They did not even take the time to email or call me to let me know that my connecting flight from Houston to Heathrow had been cancelled due to maintenance. When I was at the desk the attendant in San Antonio (Debbie Brown) refused to help me connect with another airline. When I insisted on some help she informed me that their were no other airlines that could get me to my desination that day. After an hour went by I finally called American Express Platnum for assistance. They informed me of two airlines that were heading toward heathrow that day, however, by the time I had confronted this issue with the desk supervisor (who was also no help at all) it was too late to catch the American Airlines Flight. I then talked to "Mr. Paul" at "Customer Care 1800 number"...what a joke. This experience was even worse than the desk in San Antonio. A long story short...I was an Elite Gold member for Continental Airlines. I say was because myself and everyone in my company will no long use this airline. On top of that I will continue to be an advocate against Continental Airlines for the god aweful service they provided me. It was just short of inhumane. They should all be ashamed of themselves. |
If they refused to connect you to another airline, eventhough their flight was cancelled due to maintenance, then you sir have a right to throw their rule 240 back at them, which states they must put you on a flight, even with a different airline. I'm surprised that they would refuse to help you, especially since Houston is their hub, if I'm not mistaken, so they should have been able to get you out of there with no issue. Why they would refuse to connect you is absurd and is open to litigation.
