Sorry, I don't speak spanglish, but are you complaining that your flight attendant was a man??

bah humbug Aug 12, 2009 11:57 AM

They have another post on here and it looks like they are complining because their flight attendant was a man????

LOL

Gromit801 Aug 12, 2009 5:13 PM

What exactly is the issue?

azstar Aug 12, 2009 9:57 PM

I think this is a continuation of an earlier complaint. Apparently, the male flight attendant
made them gate check a bag he said would not fit in the cabin, or didn't have room. There was a camera inside and the lens got broken.

Parece ser la continuation de una queja previa. El aeromozo insisitia en chequear el equipaje de mano por abajo porque no cabia en la cabina. Se rompio una camera en la maleta. ?No es asi?

Now after send the equipment damage to Mrs.Judy Evans from Airtrans , she send us a $162.45 to cover the damage on a lents value at $ 259.00 But we need to pay the diferent and she said on the letter basically that they don't have to cover the damage because they are under the contract of caries approve by the department of transportations that states that airtrans isn't responsible for photographic equipment. By this I'm understand that I can trust any employ of airtrans airways went they said " we'll take care of this" those were the wors from the flight attendant that abruptly took the camera bag from my hands and throe down to cargo from the plain right from of me

Business class attendant took my camera bag from my hands because would not fit in the cabin and there was enough space in the cabin. I told him what was inside of the bag and he said" we take care of it"

I'm sorry and this is not meant to offend you but it seems from your post you are not completely fluent in the English language. Is it possible that you weren't able to convey to the flight attendant that there was fragile camera equipment in the bag? Or perhaps you thought you told him but he did not completely understand you? I know it doesn't absolve the airline from the way they handled your bag but do you think a communication gap could in some even insignificant way have contributed to this problem?

Sorry, PHXFlyer The fact that I have a Hispanic Last name or the I have misspelled what I wrote doesn't means the I don't understand the language. besides you don't know who talk to the person in airtran to assume the it was a language barrier.

From this post alone I wouldn't need to talk to anyone at AirTran. Besides I wasn't referring to your ability to understand the English language, I was commenting on how well you are understood!
