Did not honor what they said in email

They had said in phone calls and in emails that my inlaws that are 90 years old that they would have first class tickets. The day before the flight, when it is my daughter's wedding, we find out they had turned around and put them in coach. I have emails saying that they are in first class but they will not even look at them. I spent the evening trying to fix this instead of my family after the wedding. I have always trusted e tickets but know I don't trust them becuase. tomorrow morning my in-law will fly coach. I would like to pass this on to everyone that what Delta sends to you in an email they will not honor.

Where were the tickets purchased? For travel between what cities? Could you post the itinerary e-mail confirmation you received from Delta. If they were indeed confirmed in first class to begin with did Delta give you any explanation as to why they were switched to coach? Until you post the flight information and exactly what was e-mailed to you in the confirmation we can only guess. Perhaps the aircraft serving the route was substituted for a smaller one which had no first class cabin? That happened to me recently on United. If this is the case they are due a refund between the cost of the first class tickets and the price of a coach ticket on the same routing.

Like I said, though, until more details are given we can only guess.

They are on the same flight. They could fly first class if they paid them more money. The person doing their ticket maid a mistake and should not have given them first class so 3 months later they have down graded them without telling us.

they spent their points to get the first class and now no points and no first class. Someone else says they did not have enough points. They are 90 years old and they were coming to see there daughters wedding instead of me dealing with my daughter and her day I spent 3 hours with delta.

Was this domestic or international. How many points did they redeem for each ticket? What cities did they travel between and where were their connections? Can you post a copy of the original confirmation showing they were in first class?
