sweet, do you know if they came/coming up with updated/current delay schedule for different parts of the country (SE, NE, MidWest, etc) and if they also do it for international airlines?

i am sure that there are areas where the delays are longer than other areas

and some airlines are worse than others even when weather and related delays occur

I was a little suprised about Jetblue being down there, i remember a time where people were telling me that jetblue is the way to go and you will get there on time, but not so much lately, i guess with their policies and such it has slowed them down

Hawaiian is have a bit of fun on their website about being "No 1." Of course they fly in and out of fewer airports has something to do with their on time performance, on average.

It was Alaska that got the JD Powers awards second year in a row.

Fewer airports and better weather. The Islands usually get a brief rain almost ever day but it's usually not enough to interfere with operations very much.

Alaska usually does well over the summer. Once they get fog in southeast AK and it's sub-zero in the northern cities their reliability goes down somewhat.

Continental sent out a "Tweet" this morning:
Quote:

CO ranked 1st among U.S. network airlines with DOT on-time 88.4% in September.
Now they are first amongst those considered "legacy airlines" however I'd say both Alaska and Frontier are really network airlines. I guess they can use almost any language to make them look good. "We're #1! Hoorah..." But you're really #7..."But we're #1 of the 'network airlines'...hip hip hooray!" OK Continental, we won't rain on your parade lest it foul up your October numbers!

CO is fudging the truth a bit. JD Powers has them as a legacy airline. They sure as hell aren't a regional airline anymore with all the flights they have all over the country, Mexico and Hawaii.

I'm confused...do you mean CO or AS is considered regional? CO has a much further reach than the US, Mexico and Hawaii. AS was regional until they started gradually expanding their network. Plus they are a traditional "hub and spoke" carrier. I think it's about ti,e the DOT re-defined them and consider them one of the legacies. They have, after all, been around for over 80 years.

AS is no longer regional. They do have a couple of mini-hubs in LAX, SFO, and ANC.
