A Way To Complain

Of course this may be a 'black hole' where complaints go to die, but I've recently found this website:

http://airconsumer.ost.dot.gov/escomplaint/es.cfm

Personally, I am VERY tired of the runaround Continental typically gives me when they experience a problem - from now on, EVERYTHING is getting sent to this web form. The more complaints for Continental the better off we may be - and if it doesn't help us, well... it certainly won't hurt!

I don't know if this website will work, or if it will have any impact on Continental... but I certainly hope so!

The link to the DOT website has been posted here several times. In fact, we have a contributor who works for the DOT. What is your point? Do you have a specific complaint?

The point

My apologies, I had thought the point would be obvious... since the only response Continental ever has is, "We're very sorry" I thought it would be useful to start complaining to a government agency with some level of oversight to the industry.

Not that there's anything wrong with the occasional placating experience found with customer service, but I've decided to start making offical complaints whenever the reason presents itself.

I'm not quite sure why you reacted so agressively to my posting; sorry that the link has been posted before, but I hope that people are using it at need. Perhaps that will help solve some problems instead of simply brushing them aside.

It wasn't meant to be "aggressive" and I'm sorry if it came across that way. Usually people post a specific complaint and not a general channel for contact, or alternative means of registering a complaint, in a specific airline's forum. Your post, absent of a specific issue with Continental, could have been posted almost anywhere else on this forum specifically in the "general Discussion" forum or in one of the "How Can XX Airlines Improve" threads. And, as I mentioned in reply to your post, we have a regular contributor to this forum who is with the DOT who regularly posts the link to the DOT website to register a complaint there.

Thanks OP for the link. Just filed a complaint against Continental.

I too are fed up with the stupid customer service of Continental.
