Lost Luggage

I flew dleta from Dubai on DL007 9/2/009 at 10:30 pm, they told me that my luggage did not make it in this flight and they will bring it in the next flight and once I arrive in my destination at Las Vegas to fill out a lost luggage form so they can deliver my luggage. I filed the form report # LASDL16837, between my daughter-in-law and I we had total of 4 luggages thru out the next 2 day 3 peices showed up but one by one this means it each came in the different flights but my 4th pieces never showed up when I called was told to wait 5 days before filing lost luggage form and to fax it. on 9/8/09 thru 9/18/09 I faxed the form every 2 days and was told not recived was giving many different fax#s, finally I filled complaint to BBB and on 9/23/09 I was told they have recieved my fax and need 30 days to resolve it and today is 10/30/09 and still nothing not even a reply to BBB. I believe they have stolen my luggage since that luggage had some expensive items and brand new tailed women's clothings and much more luggage tag XH480715. I really whish for my luggage back with all item but I don't by now it is too late now I am asking for a fair price of at least $1500

It can take a while to locate a missing bag especially if it's an international flight. Make sure you accurately described the bag because if the tag fell off somewhere along the way the description is all they'll have to identify the bag. It's always a good idea to have some form of identifying information inside the bag in case the tags go missing.

I wouldn't be so quick to blame the airlines for any theft of pilferage. Delayed bags still have to go through customs and when not accompanied by their owner they are usually sent to the customs area that handles cargo, mail, etc. Government employees steal all the time. There have been numerous cases of theft by TSA agents. I had a Bluetooth earpiece go missing at a TSA checkpoint once. I thought it might have fallen out in the x-ray machine. I asked the supervisor to check for me but all he did was hand me a form to fill out. It was later "turned in" by an "airport employee" who "found it" to the airport lost and found. I picked it up when I returned to Phoenix.
