Unconcerned UNITED Employees @ O'Hare

What is it with United Airlines that they charge $25.00 a bag and 60 minutes after landing no one knows where your bag is and the employees walk away from you when you ask to speak to a supervisor after being directed to four different baggage claims-only to have one of the passengers on our flight locate everyone's luggage behind a pillar. This happened on 2/9/2010 at Chicago's O'Hare airport! Mad as he$$ at what the employees did and that I wasted an hour before I could finally leave the airport. I want my baggage fee returned--any suggestions of what I should do next (aside from kiss the $$ good-bye)?
