1st class seats hnl to phx

Aloha,
My husband and I booked 1st class seats from Hnl to Phx on 6/9/10 Flight 125. They were anything but 1st class seats. They were in the 3rd class dept. My husband is 100% disabled and he was so uncomfortable. All that money for pain and agony. They had to ask the passenger in front of me to put their chair in the upright position so I could use my tray to eat on. No leg room. Seats were very very uncomfortable. We have flown USAir lots of times before and never had seats like this. The short flight from Phx to Tucson had great 1st class seats. I complained to them and they said the seats are the seats and they are sorry if we were dissatified . Dissatified isn't no where near the right word. So, on our trip back to Hawaii in two weeks we have chosen another airline.:p

Shirley, I did a little research. The aircraft you flew on from HNL to PHX was a Boeing 757-200. Those airplanes were first manufactured in 1983, so the chances that your airplane was an older one, and no doubt uncomfortable on a 6 hour flight, are pretty high. For the flight from PHX to TUS, it was either a CR9, which is only 9 years old max, or an Airbust 319, which are at most 17 years old. Unfortunately, the oldest airplane of your trip was the one you had to spend the most time on. Which airline did you switch to for your return trip if I may ask? Please post a follow up when you get home so we know if the return was any better. Cheers!
