Sort faults in Brazilian computer software?

Got on a flight today from Boston on one of their many Embraers - the Ents system was 50% frizzed... which didn't trouble me much until we did an unscheduled "strafing" manoeuvre over the JFK runway because there was a computer failure. Not sure if it resulted in an undercarriage failure or a flaps failure. or both... but the pilot telling us that our arrival would be delayed while they re-set the computer as we darted between flight paths and out to sea, did little to reassure. Once safely landed at JFK, I went straight onto another Embraer with, spookily enough a totally frizzed Ents system. They said they were going to give us all $15 vouchers but then forgot to do it... not that $15 would have been anything but an insult anyway. Don't plan to fly on another Embraer in a hurry. and while I'm pissing and whingeing - how come their baggage check-in is still queue City - and how come I was able to have my bag checked into an 8.15am flight with me following on a later plane?

It is a myth that the bag has to be matched to the passenger when travelling in the US...

Unlikely the on board entertainment system has anything whatsover to do with the computer failure on the aircraft itself... but it would spook me if I strafed the airport... probably a straightforward "go around" which is scary but perfectly safe.

... I was trying to describe the sensation of "buzzing" the conning tower in an unscheduled way ... that somewhat over-dramatizes it - but a fly around would similarly under-dramatize it
