Watch those baggage charges
For my outbound flight I checked in online and was charged $23 on the cc number I provided stating I had one bag
I checked in online for my return flight but since I did not have my cc with me, did not indicate or pay for a bag. On arrival at LGA I went to the skycap and said I had one bag. I took out my credit card but he never asked for it or took it and just checked my bag. Wow I thought, either I am getting a bag checked for free or the $23 covered the roundtrip for the bag. I just checked my CC online and see I was charged $25 for my bag to come back NOW I am not saying I did not expect to pay for my bag both ways or even questioning why it cost $2 more (headwinds?), my concern is that they used my same cc to charge the return without even asking would you like to use the same card? another card? Very odd especially with the new cc regulations. So this is just an "FYI" for anyone to watch those baggage charges because technically they can charge you a return bag if you don't have one or maybe even charge you for the same amount of bags you went out with even if you return with less or as in my case, charge more for the return. |
Allegiant does this as well. It costs more to check your bag online. i believe its $40 on-line and $35 at the airport. and thats one-way!! of course its a low-cost carrier, but still $80 r/t is alot of money

In my case it cost LESS to check it in online that at the airport
