thinly booked flight cancelled !
flew Useless Air Phila / Madrid / Phila. The return flight was cancelled on short notice - they claimed pilot illness but in rebooking most of the passengers on the following day's flight the plane was still only 3/4 full ! hmmmmm.... Does anyone know if you can determine if a specific flight on a specific airline is more frequently cancelled ?
my past expereince is that this airline more frequently cancels empty flights. |
I suspect the same, but the data would be held by the airline. Not sure it is publicly available.

it very well could be the pilot is sick. i flew USair and the flight wasn't even 3/4 full and we still left (PHL-MUC) quite nice since i had my own row. my parents are flying delta today and i recieved an email yesterday saying their connecting flight from atl-tpa was cancelled however they were rebooked going through dtw. my dad thought maybe since the plane wasn't even 1/2 full...found out today it was because of the storm thats coming through. delta helped!! im finding it hard to believe but i guess miracles do happen lol
