reimbursement for cancelled flight
 

recently booked 2 european first class roundtriips using FF miles - 200,000 miles for each. US Air cancelled our return flight, rebooked us on the following days flight but downgraded us to coach ! ouch ...putting aside the fact that they did not even inform us of the downgrade until we arrived the next day...and the fact that there was no "policy" for our problem...and the fact that we had to contact them repeatedly after arriving home to get results...they offered us a measly 40,000 mile reimbursement.

when comparing the segment value of our flights...first class vs coach...i calculated that we should have gotten 110,000 miles reinstated.

anyone else ever have a similar problem ? how was yours resolved ?:mad:
