Credit for system failure

Several months ago, November 2010, while trying to use funds from a return ticket, I received an error from SW website and it did not apply all my funds. I immediately called customer service which notified that a LUV voucher for the amount would be sent to my email address in a week. I called a couple of times over the next two months complaining that it has not arrived yet. I was then assigned a claim number 77203317 and told that this time, it would be there in three business days. I waited and called again after a month for not receiving it. Then I was informed that the claim has a system error and therefore it didn't go through. I was given another claim number on 05/09/2011 #7849860 and was told that everything is taken care of and that I should expect the credit in my inbox in a week. I called the customer service again after a week and was told that it could often take longer. The credit has still not arrived on 05/23/2011.

Each time I have called customer service, I had to wait for up to 1/2 hour to speak to someone. Over the winters, for several weeks, the southwest customer service telephone was closed to general public. In total, I have wasted about 30 hours trying to track this $30 refund.

Additionally, I have ticket refunds worth about $1000 which due to new regulations cannot be used for the travel of family members, even when they are accompanying me. I am a student and cannot imagine using these many funds in the few months remaining. After being a customer of SW since almost the time it started, I am now very determined never to fly this airline again. It has one of the worst customer service.

If others had similar experience, I would love to find out how to get this company's attention to resolve this issue.
