rude Delta agent
 

I recently called Delta Airlines to try to book a $99 companion certificate and the woman was so rude and unhelpful. The call ended with her just hanging up without saying good bye or anything else. I was nothing but polite to her.

I recently called up the toll free number for delta to enquire about baggage policy only to have the agent bang the phone on me. i thought it was a mistake and called again, only to be rudely told and before i could ask excess baggage, the line was cut. I was extremely polite at all times.

i next called a local number, only to find the hanging up repeated. this guy who answered was also rude and hung up before my query was answered.

I am not at all surprised by that. For some reason, the airlines think they can be rude to their customers and get away with it, maybe because there are so few of them left? almost a monopoly?

It is not almost...they have carved the country up into superhubs, in which they dominate markets. The govt. Has done nothing to address this, perhaps due to the millions that the airlines pour into "lobbying"....

That's exactly it! Airlines CAN be rude to customers. Not much you can do. THAT is why they need to be regulated again. Rude, deceptive behavior needs to stop. Delta is the worst and they could care less what embarrassment, inconveniences or hardships they create. Delta sucks!
