direct flight changed 3 months later
I had adirect flight to aruba, that I booked in March for a great price with american airlines. 3 months later they changed it to a connecting flight to Miami that is going to take 3 hours longer, which would arrive at night, wasting a hole day of my time share. The flight was filled right after it went on sale because it was such a great price. So why would an airline change it to a connecting flight 3 months later? When I called to complain they said they have the right to change flights and if I didn't like it I could get a full refund. The problem is now they don'y have a direct flight on friday, which is when my time share starts. So I have to go to Jet blue which now is costing me $530 more because it is now June. I could have booked with Jet Blue back in March but American was cheaper at that time. No one at American would give me a reason why you would change a full flight from direct to connecting. I will never fly American again at any price because you can't trust them. I hope they go the way of Pan Am and TWA.
