False Advertising/Bait & Switch
I just returned from a business trip to Las Vegas. Upon check-in a screen on the kiosk offered me to upgrade to First Class for $300 and I decided to treat myself to see what it was like. As I raced to the gate I realized that the boarding pass for the long first leg still showed seat 16D so I went to the gate agent to ask why. She said I only had a First Class seat on my final, short leg, not the 4 hour leg back to the east coast. I told her the kiosk did not specify that at all and she proceed to tell me she get's that complaint constantly. Upon returning home I wrote to customer service and they politely replied with "tough luck". I feel US Airways broke the law with this false advertising and I want to challenge them. Does anyone else have a similar story or any advice? Thank you.
