Air Miles ?
 

I have amassed nearly 1 million air miles with AF/KLM ( so I have been a loyal customer) and spent in the past about 300k no problems.
I recently wanted to book two business class flights with some of the remaining miles; a trip of a life time for our retirement and gave FB 10 months notice.
I was suprised that NO business class seats were available on any of the dates we gave them and no alternative dates were offered. Stange because the max time you can book ahead is 10 months.
That was bad enough BUT after booking economy tickets we were told that the airport taxes were about £600 each passenger.
It is strange that one of AF partners, Malaysia Airways were offering the same flights at £800 each incl taxes. I cant imagine that the return flight costs are only £ 200 ??
