American Airline refused to give a receipt after $210 cash payment

American Airline charged me $210 for my second bag an international flight and weight was 44 pounds. My flight was from U.S.A to Africa.
When I demanded the receipt for the payment, the lady at the counter said that they did not give a receipt and bad words that can not write down here.
A.A. was connecting flight from BNA to chicago.
I called them their customer service and they said that they can not do anything.

Anybody knows how to deal with them, let me know.

Thanks.

Who was your connecting flight with After American? If it was a another airline that American Interlines baggage with, then they have to charge the baggage fees that apply to the partner airline at their rates other wise they will have to fork over additional monies to make up for the partner airline's shortfall.

The refusal to give a receipt is highly suspicious and the money probably went into the thieving employees pocket. Theft is endemic in the industry and the industry has no appetite to do anything about it.

Bad news. AA always generates a receipt for every transaction. Contact Consumer relations thru AA.com

Does your ticket, boarding pass, or luggage tag reflect the weight of the bag and charged fees? There's your receipt.
