Regardless of what language they spoke or which country he was in, this customer met the requirements laid out by Singapore Airlines, but was ripped off by the airline. It makes no difference whether he was in Sri Lanka or Timbuktu.. he met the conditions imposed by Singapore Airlines when his sister bought the ticket, and Singapore Airlines, not local's in Sri Lanka processed a further unauthorised charge on his credit card. Astonishing as it might seem to you mars... the sainted Singapore Airlines screwed up. In any other business this is fraud.. but airlines seem to operate how they like.
