There you go again Jim. I've had numerous vouchers issued to me by various airlines. Somehow I've been able to use them all without any issues. Tell me why, then do we see so many "complaints" about vouchers? I'll tell you why. People have either bought them on e-bay or craigslist and were scammed (not by the airline but by the person selling them) or they just don't understand how to use them. It's not rocket science. When Delta issues a voucher at the airport the voucher is accompanied by information on how to redeem it online, what the fees are for using a telephone agent, when it expires, etc. If people aren't taking the time to simply read through the information that's not the airline's fault either.

In about three weeks I'll be flying to New York to be with my family for the Thanksgiving holiday. I have two one way tickets on two different airlines both of which were paid for with vouchers. I then upgraded each ticket with miles. I'm flyin g first class both ways and not a dime out of my pocket was spent. And since I'm upgraded both ways I won't pay for bags either. Not a bad deal if you ask me and it was all because of vouchers and miles...two things that for some irrational reason you hate with a passion.

(And if any of the flights are oversold, I'll possibly be getting more vouchers to use another time!)
