I believe the TSA only requires a GED for employment as a TSO. I've encountered many TSO's who can't even use proper English in a brief conversation. It's a very sad state of affairs. When the TSA was first formed not long after 9/11/2001 it was discovered that in their rush to staff all of the positions required that quite a few people with criminal records had "slipped through the cracks" during pre-employment screening. I wonder if this is still happening today.
