According to Spirit's website:
If you applied for and no longer want the MasterCard you should be corresponding with Barclays Bank and not Spirit.

I corresponded via phone with both Barclays and Spirit. One of them told me to either go online or write a letter and gave me the information to write a letter and the address. Which I did. The e-mails were their response to my letter.
I did open a credit card last year and joined the $9 Fare Club, was not able to use it, wanted to cancel it and Spirit will not refund the $39.95 on my Credit Card. Even though the e-mail indicates they cancelled the $9 Fare club !!!!!!!!
