Sounds to me like you just need to be a bit assertive and sit where you desire. This isn't a WN problem, this was a problem between you and another passenger. I agree that the F/A should have been more helpful. But if you want a seat and it's open, then sit down in it.

BTW, posting this complaint twice doesn't make it more important.
