The flights on 7/9 and 7/26 were mechanical. They never even told me why my flight on 8/1 was cancelled.

I have 2 questions I would appreciate feedback from folks on:

1. Have people noticed a deterioriation in service since the Delta/NWA merger?

2. Being a fact based person, does anyone know where I can go to get the data to compare cancellations/on time arrivals pre and post merger?

I don't have a choice, I have to fly and fly a lot. I had to log 140 segments and/or 125,000 in 2010 to get Diamond status with Delta. What surprises me the most is that, with all of the problems (at one point I had 5 consectutive flights cancelled or significantly delayed), Delta never made any effort to contact me in anyway nor offered me any type of compensation at all. If this is how they treat their frequent flyers, I would hate to see how they treat the occassional flyer. Cancellations and delays seriously impact my job performance. I used to live in Minneapolis so I didn't have too much choice in airlines but now I live in New York. Continental has offered to match my elite status so maybe I'll give them a shot.
