So lets see where this goes. Airlines should offer a little something extra to those serving. Ok, how about those of us who did serve? Do we also get something better in the way of treatment?
My Dad served in WWII. He didn't get any kind of special treatment coming home. My brother and I served during Vietnam and the Cold War, we sure has heck didn't receive any special treatment.
My point being, they enlisted, they serve. They're entitled to the benefits the government gives them in pay and such. The "New Patriotism" that bestows hero status on anyone in uniform can wear pretty thin with vets. A service member getting home has to deal with transportation the same as anyone else. That's what America is about.
