“Cortney” (a self-identified* American Air employee) wrote: MANY times i have seen American airlines upgrade a soldier to first class, i have seen a passenger give up his first class seat that he paid for a troop (gotta love that american spirit) and i have seen American airlines put a few of our troops on earlier flights for free.

On the chance that “Upset’s” version is more accurate than “Cortney’s:” Amtrak leaves Fort Worth, for St. Louis and Chicago, every day at 2:20 PM. There are connections in Chicago for points in the Northwest and Northeast. Also, Southwest Air flies from Love Field (about 5 miles from downtown Dallas.)
