US Airways bumped me off a flight that I paid for 2 weeks prior because I didn't check- in a hour before flight. I arrived at the airport to find no passengers had boarded. Got in line with others only to be told "oh we gave away your seat". "We'll put you on a later flight that will have you doing a 3 hr layover in Phila. ". "have a good day" that was their attitude
