If the direct flight you were booked on went, which you can check on flight stats, then you were ripped off. This could be a case of overbooking and they rebooked you via CLT. If this is the case, then you were involuntarily bumped and are entitled to compensation. You should file a complaint with the DOT, the link for which is in the quick links in the bar above.
