Watch the terms they use between direct flight and non-stop flight. Booked my aunt once on Southwest on a "direct' flight from San Diego to Chicago/Midway, the "direct' flight made 4 stops on the way to Chicago but she didn't have to get off the plane(it was the same flight number all the way from San Diego to chicago (and was even going past Chicago).
