Yes, I can confirm that this thing was extremely heavy and hit me extremely hard. I tried to talk several times to her making it clear that she injured me. I was under the impression that US Airways trains their employees to downplay these accidents if possible. I also believe that it is more important for this airline that the job gets done in time and the way how they reacted leaves me with the impression that flight attendants learn that it makes their job a lot easier by just slamming their "weapon" against anything that is in the way rather than waking up a sleeping passenger. I am assuming that US Airways advises their employees in training "don't worry, it won't have any consequences for you, just smile and say sorry, never ever ask a passenger if he would like to fill out an accident report form..."
It looks like they only provide an accident report form if the blood is all over and the passenger has to be hospitalized. This airline never responded, even to a certified letter but I am sure that they are following our discussion.
