Default avoid at all costs

7 years ago I bought a ticket on Delta. Although I was a platinum flyer with Continental, I quickly learned that everyone is treated like dirt. So I avoided Delta.

But yesterday I compounded my initial mistake and bought another ticket. They needlessly delayed the flight and then lost my luggage. It took forever to speak to a human who then was unable to confirm when my luggage would arrive. In the meantime, the only remedy offered: $25.

This airlines richly deserves to be bankrupt. I most strongly recommend that one and all avoid them like the plague.
