No refund for canceled Japan tour
I have a non-refundable ticket for a round trip between Charlotte and Tokyo Narita in late May. Because of the earthquake and tsunami, the tour for which this ticket was purchased has been canceled, with no plans for it to be rescheduled. It appears that Continental is really serious when they say "non-refundable" -- record-setting natural disasters do not constitute an adequate excuse for not traveling. Fortunately for Continental, I don't travel much, so they get $1400 in unearned profit, and they don't lose anything with my intention never to deal with Continental again.
