I took a flight from Melbourne home to Niagara falls on Sunday April 17th 2011.We had are boarding passes with our seat numbers on them but, we were all stopped at the gate and told there was no room on the plane for are carry on bags .We were told we had to check them all. Well, when we finally got on the plane we found our seats had people in them. The stewardess came over and tried talking to them but said I am calling security we were led to the front of the plane for at least 20 minutes while they did nothing because the pilot decided they were not calling security.After a ton of problems i don't want to drag this on but, i cried as we had no seats and they were still boarding people and I have bad anxiety the pilot that would not help announces that he has a nervous fl yer and asked if anyone so they did.long story short I finally did get a call from direct air main office stating the seats are free?After telling her I don't understand I paid for my seats so, are you telling me its open admission?she said yes ma'am I said I had boarding passes she said it did not matter.As far as the BBB, it is located in SC because Direct air is there and they keep closing every ones case because you can not ask for anything as far as being compensated.But, you have to write something in the box to even get it submitted makes no sense.This is just a unbelievable horrible company.So, BBB will not even help.
