Best Fare Guarantee is deceptive/dishonest
I have written to/called Delta 5 times regarding their mishandling of my request for my Best Fare refund. The FIRST agent thought I found a better fare at American Airlines because the website I cited was AAA.com (American Automobile Association) not AA.Com (American Airlines). So, my request for a refund was denied.
The SECOND agent said my request was denied because they could not find the same fare that I did and that I should have provided the exact web page (not the web site as indicated on their Best Fare rules) when requesting my refund. I offered to show a print out of the page showing the lower fare, but their was no response to that offer.
The THIRD agent said that Delta already made their decision about denying my refund and that my request will not be honored, and that I do not need to contact Delta any more about this situation.
In my final correspondence I indicated that I regret having to take this matter to the following people: Terry Broberg (Director of Customer Care), Heidi Gould (Manager of Customer Care), Allison Ausband (Vice President of Reservations Sales and Customer Care), Richard Anderson (Delta CEO), and Jesse Jones (KING 5 News (Seattle) Investigative Reporter).
