I noticed other passengers walking through with more than I and my husband had. I went to the check-in counter with my passport and boarding pass in hand and was informed I would have to check one of my two bags. After taking my bag, I was charged $25. It didn't take me long to figure why I was sent to the counter. They charged me the additional $25 for my cheap ticket and seat and this is their way of making extra money. I have flown many times from Ft. Lauderdale to D.C. with this same luggage and without incident. The plane was about half emply to the point of the attendants offering passengers to move up and most took complete rows and napped during the flight. My return trip officials did not question my same exact luggage at the D.C. airport. This needs to be reported that other passengers know what to expect from Spirit with their cheap fairs. I contacted customer service without resolution for myself or satisfaction of this issue. Thank you.

Finally an airline that enforces oversize baggage fees. How big is your purse?
