CDG Is notorious for this. T2 is huge and these connectiions are ludicrous. 2D to 2C might sound close, in fact it is a hike. I would avoid changing in Paris...from Manchester you can change in AMS or LHR at T5. (I wouldnt normally recommend LHR to change, but if on BA and staying in T5 it is good).
