Being very tall, I will help people with their carry on stuff into the overhead if they need assistance (there's enough back problems among airline staff).
I will politely tell the person in front of me that my knees are right against their seat back, and they will be unable to recline their seat.
I DON'T yell at the counter/gate agents if something goes pear-shaped. It's not their fault the weather closed in, or the bird has a mechanical, or the res agent screwed up, or if I screwed up.
I have my carry on stuff ready to go into the overhead, and under the seat immediately. If there's anything I need to have with me when I sit down, it's already out of my bag and in a pocket before boarding.
