Agreed. Automated systems SHOULD catch that.
Their computers were no better than their people in this situation.
By the end it was getting funny, maybe we were just delirious, how there was some mistake at every single interaction.
Less experienced travelers would have been in big trouble on this misadventure - I'm sure there are worse stories than mine from this night.
